INSPIRATION.

Frelsi (meaning “Freedom” in Icelandic) was originally inspired by Zach’s love of Icelandic artists like Of Monsters & Men, Sigur Ros, & Ólafur Arnalds. As the project moved ahead, ambient and indie folk, orchestral, & pop influenced the sound. This music shaped the layered, beautiful instrumentals & gentle vocals that became a staple of the project.

Starting with a cover EP appropriately named "The Covers" in 2021, Frelsi released his first EP "Retrospect" surrounding his struggles with loss and grief over the years.
